Job Description:

This position is part-time 24 hours per week

 

Summary: Under the general supervision of a Dentist in a clinical setting and using established dental hygiene protocols and procedures, the Registered Dental Assistant provides professional, high-quality dental care and education to a broad range of patients.  

 

Experience and Skills:

Qualifications:

Knowledge and Skills:  Effective ability to relate to and work with persons of all ages, social and ethnic backgrounds.  Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.  Ability to operate computer data terminals.  Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred. Work independently and take initiative. Knowledge of dental terminology and equipment. Knowledge of sterilization procedures. Ability to perform dental cleanings and procedures with in scope of practice. Ability to assist dentist with general dental procedures and treatments.

 

Education:  High school diploma/ GED, Registered Dental Assistant Certificate, and Current CPR Certification required.  X-Ray license required.

 

Experience:  Minimum of one-year working as a Dental Assistant or related experience or education.
